After a long time, I had the opportunity to shoot almost a Gb load of pics at one shot. All this in four days. Honestly, I never thought, I would get a chance to visit the beautiful Golden Temple at Amritsar.
At around 450 kms from Delhi, Amritsar is a 8 hr train ride. Apart from the temple, must-see include Jalianwala Bagha and the Wagah Border. I shall post pics of both these places in the next few days.
This temple went through a very
forgettable past in the early 80s. I guess the people involved did pay a price for all they did. Apparently one of the minarets below were also damaged then. They were rebuilt again. More about the operation can be read
