The River Wild
This time, fingers crossed, I hope to enter the TPC as a co-driver / spotter. Some pics that I shot from last weeks recee.
Raghav's 1.6 Gypsy
The Terrain is a river bed. Sand all over, soft and hard at places making traction very challenging

Yawn !!!
There was a Pay and Practice session at the race track last weekend. The turn out was huge. There were about 20+ cars on the track . With a lot of first timers, it was fun to watch few of them go off the track, or spinning off half way.
Nikhils NHC and Bala's Baleno below.
Something I realised, that these Panning shots were starting to bore me.
Some of the cars here : Vijay's Ford 1.6 above, Kaushik's Corolla below

Rock On !
After a while, it was offroading time again. In attendance were 5-540s,1-3B, 1-500D and a MG410w. It was a long drive all the way to kelambakkam, which is about 25-30 kms from Chennai. After clearing a couple of obstacles, we moved further inside, where we saw this water catchment . None of us imagined a place like this in the middle of no where.
Vijay drove around Arka's jeep for a bit and seemed to love every moment of it.
This obstacle seemed to scare Karthik a bit. Look at him waving his hand out
Next week its action on the tracks.

The Art of Panning ..
I have never seen such a crowd in the MMSC race track here. The event was the MRF Racing Challenge spread over three weekends.
Though we were supposed to stay in the grand stands and watch the straights, we could manage to sneak out and get some good pics from C10.
The view from C10 is far better than the view you would get from the straights. On the downside, there is no place to sit, no vendors to sell refreshments , no commentary.
